Personalized OCD & Anxiety Treatment

About Jennifer and ERP

ERP: Exposure & Response Prevention

OCD is treatable, there is hope.  However, traditional talk therapy may not be effective for OCD and can sometimes unintentionally reinforce symptoms. Finding your way back to a life beyond OCD often requires a specialized treatment called Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

ERP is widely recognized as the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. A specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), ERP helps people with OCD retrain their brains to respond differently to obsessive fears, tolerate uncertainty and distress, and resist compulsions and rituals.

While ERP can feel uncomfortable in the short term, with practice and support, it can help you break free from the OCD cycle and live with greater freedom and confidence!

ERP and Me: In 2021, I received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute. Since then, I pursue additional training each year to deepen my knowledge and expand my skills in ERP and other therapeutic approaches that have been shown to be effective in treating OCD and anxiety-related disorders.

My own family has been personally impacted by OCD, giving me a unique perspective on the profound impact OCD can have on daily life. I believe in the power of ERP and am passionate about helping people break free from OCD’s grip and regain the freedom to make choices based on what matters most to them.

You can learn to face your fears, have confidence in your decisions, and live a life guided by your values—not OCD.
